April 28, 2009 - FULBRIGHT GRANT AWARD Bianca has been awarded a Fulbright grant to Italy. She joins prestigious ranks as a Fulbright Scholar selected by the Presidentially appointed 12-member J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Bianca will be leaving to pursue studies of the orchestral opera repertoire and Vivaldi concerti in Rome from November to July of 2010. February 20, 2008 - SYMPHONY HALL DEBUT ANNOUNCED Bianca will appear as soloist with the Boston Pops on May 15th. She will play the Fantasie Brillante on themes from Bizet's Carmen by Francois Borne. Bianca recently performed
educational demonstrations of the standard C-flute, piccolo and an eclectic
collection of world flutes at Boston’s Symphony Hall. Bianca is excited to
start an internship with the From the Top radio show in Boston,
Massachusetts, a non-profit multi-media organization whose mission is to
encourage and celebrate the development of youth through music. 19 YOA musicians have been invited for a 2-week residency at Maestro Lorin Maazel’s “Castleton Farms” in Rappahannock County, Virginia, for the period April 5 – 15, 2007. YOA musicians will rehearse and perform The Rape of Lucretia by Benjamin Britten, with libretto by Ronald Duncan after the play by Andre Obey, together with seven vocal soloists (TBA). The concert will be held in Castleton Farm’s intimate Theatre House, which allows an unparalleled degree of communication between performers and audience. ~Graduation Recital available on DVD~
